We have a bundle of fabrics from the Commute collection by Jay-Cyn designs up for grabs worth £18 (including Free UK postage). Winner gets 4 fabrics from the collection of their own choosing! Lovely!

  11. I think I'd be using some in a charity quilt for Siblings Together a charity which brings kids in care to camps with their siblings as many get separated.

  13. Well... a book cover (to protect the book that I’m reading at the moment), a reusable sandwich/snack bag (so that I would once and for all stop using aluminium foil!) and a finally a couple of small lavender bags (after spring clean that’s what I will need in my drawers).

  40. Lovely fabric. I would use it to finish off making my son's hexagonal quilt. It's intended as an heirloom item that he will keep forever. I am handstitching it so that in years to come he will look at those little stitches and think of me making it!

  52. I'd make a travel companion for the car for my little girl. We recently went on holiday and I remembered the amazing car companions my mum made me and my brothers when we were little. Also if there's enough material left over at the end, I'd make her a lovely neck pillow - it might convince her to nap during a long car journey!

  55. I've never tried to make a quilt! No idea why! I drool over lots of quilting blogs and have looked at loads of tutorials but, since I'm still a newbie sewer, I hesitate 'cos I think I'm going to make a hash of it!!

  56. Hmm, I'd make a rucksack so that when I'm out and about on my bike, I could throw it over my shoulder, pack it with my Kindle - and make a matching Kindle cover - some sarnies (maybe make a lunchbox roll as well) and disappear for a few hours of R&R :)
