Fresh Fabric Giveaway £90's worth up for grabs!

Seamstar's October Competition is this Fresh Fabric Giveaway with your chance to win gorgeous fabrics by Saffron Craig. £90's worth up for grabs!

We have 3 bundles to win, each containing quarter meter pieces from different Saffron collections including Owl Fabric, Fields Range and Fantastic Fairies. Of course each bundle also contains a quarter meter piece from the new Bird Tree collection.

Each bundle contains 6 fabrics - so 1½ meters in total of fabric loveliness - each worth over £30!

Well as this is such a generous giveaway, with large amounts of fabric I might have to make myself something to wear - a funky a-line wrap around skirt maybe and then some accessories - a bag, a notebook and file cover, a padded case for my netbook and a matching one for my phone. And finally for my sewing machine that has worked so hard making all this gorgeous fabric into pretties for me I would make a made to measure cover :)

Well,ok, if you insist ... maybe a little tote bag for my 6yr old daughter who definitely hasn't got enough bags yet (or shoes, but that's another story) .. then there's always room for another cushion or 3 on the bed, and maybe it will stretch to a quilt if I add lots of white, and ... the list is endless! What couldn't you make with such beautifil fabric, sigh .... :o))

  97. I would make a funky skirt or trousers in a mish-mash of colour for my little girl. She's the reason I started sewing again & actually went to classes and learned dressmaking so I could make her things! Instead I met someone in the classes who encouraged me to start selling the accessories I was making & Hootchie Mama was born. So now my poor baby never gets those quirky hanmade clothes I promised her as Mummy is too busy making things for everyone else. It would be my special gift to her.

  110. Second attempt to post this. Saffron is my latest Designer crush and I am so in love with all of her fabrics.

    With Bird Tree, I'd have to make something that was visible all the time like a wall hanging or a series of scatter cushions to strew around the house.

    I'd but the extra material to make a very covetable bag with Bird Tree as well.

  127. If I was to win the fabric I would make lots of things for my new baby - due in 4 weeks. I'd make a little outfit and accessories for the nursery (little quilt, floor/play mat, nappy holder, curtain tiebacks, appliqued pictures on canvas, nursing cushion)and I'd make a yummy changing bag for myself that actually had enough room to fit a toddlers things and a newborns things in it aswell as my own essentials! Oh I can't wait!!!

I would definitely make a quilt for one of my many neices - I have eight currently waiting for quilts - and one nephew - and I know which neice would really love these fabrics although I had better not say her name here in case I get held to it by the mother! Anyway, I know which one I'm thinking of! But that can wait until after Tom's Tufted Tweets Quilt anyway - my own kids do jump the quilt queue!
