I'm hunting for my next project, overwhelmed by amazing patterns and stunning fabrics, where do you begin? So some fabric inspiration would be a blessing. I'd love to maybe try a summer bag for myself, complete self indulgence for what will probably be lots of hard work!

  37. I am a completely beginner quilter (bought my rotary cutter and ruler last week!) and am hoping to start work on a nice summer-weight cover for my bed. However, I've been struggling to find the perfect feminine but bright cotton for the job... This fabric is just what I'm looking for! I've even seen a quilt pattern with little bow details between the squares, so I'd happily put that beautiful ribbon to good use as well!

  38. I'm adding this post for Judith who is having technical difficulties posting so here is her comment:

My next project is making quilts for my twin grandsons. One is blue themed and the other red. (The quilts not my grandsons!) I am planning on choosing fabrics that are not babyish but maybe spots, stripes and plains so that the quilts will still be used when the boys are older.

  49. I love fabric... bright quirky, individual fabric. I take sharp intakes of breath when I see amazing fabrics already made up into clothes in shops. I thought it was the clothes, but have realised it is the fabric! So I had a thought - I would buy a sewing machine! I am still in the process of doing this. But looking around for fabric had left me disappointed, nothing that excited me, until I happened onto this site. Fantastic, funky, adorable. The sewing machine will be purchased post haste. So, what is my next project? I don't know, but it will be my first - and will be made from the perfect material from this site! Thank you, my excitement has returned ten fold.

  57. I am pretty much an absolute beginer at all things crafty. I got my very first sewing machine just last month. This month I am determined to move on from simple square cushion covers, and I am going to sew a bag for a friend of mine. I am sure it will be far from flawless, but as long as it stays in one piece, I'm gonna consider it a success!
